4 Butte Cattle Co. is located in the Bear Paws on Peoples creek, about 6 mi west of Cleveland. We’ve been raising Angus cattle for over 25 years with a breeding program of going to the best cow herds we can find; [Oxbow, McCumber, Redland and Ohlde] then tying to buy the best bull we can. Using these bloodlines we line-breed, trying to find the best combinations and crosses. The goal is for ‘easy’ cows. Easy to be around, easy to handle, easy to feed, easy to calve and easy to sell. Sounds ‘easy’, but it isn’t.
